How we earn money

InternetNetherlands.nl is a comparison and information site. It is not an internet provider and it does not sell a connection.

Plan buttons leave this site through an affiliate link. If you continue from there and take out a plan, we may earn a commission. That commission is paid via the partner. It does not change the published prices in euros, the contract length or the advertised speed, and it does not change how this page sorts plans.

The link is filtered around that plan's download speed. You enter your postcode and house number on the next page.

We check the providers' own websites for these prices, and we keep checking them. USD and GBP are conversions for reading. The provider still charges euros.

How to Get Internet in the Netherlands

Setting up home internet in the Netherlands means choosing a plan that fits your budget, your speed needs and how long you plan to stay. This page compares 65 plans from 7 providers. It covers prices, speeds and contract lengths, and explains why your address decides what you can get. It also shows how plans are checked and sorted.

Working out what you need first

Getting connected in the Netherlands mostly comes down to one choice: which home internet plan suits your household, budget and length of stay. This page brings together 65 plans from 7 providers: Odido, DELTA, KPN, Ziggo, Budget Thuis, hollandsnieuwe and Youfone. Start by thinking about how you use the connection, whether that is video calls, streaming or simply email. If you are new here and want a broader overview of the market, our guide to internet providers netherlands is a useful starting point. If you only need a connection for a short spell, read about short-term internet options before committing.

Monthly costs and speeds at a glance

Introductory prices across the 65 plans run from €15 to €51 a month. Many offers start lower and then rise, so the average monthly price is a fairer measure. It ranges from €20 to €57.25. Download speeds vary from 30 Mbps to 8000 Mbps, while upload speeds range from 3 Mbps to 8000 Mbps. The fastest upload speeds usually come from fibre connections, explained further on our fibre internet page. For a deeper look at what drives the monthly bill, see what home internet costs. If price matters most, browse budget-friendly plans.

Choosing a contract length

Contract length is the other big decision. Of the 65 plans, 32 run for 12 months and another 32 run for 24 months, while just 1 plan has a 1-month term. A longer commitment can sometimes bring a lower average monthly price, but it ties you in if your circumstances change. A shorter term gives flexibility, which suits people who are unsure how long they will stay at an address. Compare the average monthly price over the whole term rather than the introductory figure alone. If you already have a connection and want something better, our guide on changing to a new provider walks through the steps.

Availability starts with your address

Not every plan reaches every home. The connections available to you depend on your exact address, because fibre, cable and other networks are rolled out street by street. Two neighbouring buildings can have different options, so a plan listed here will not necessarily be offered where you live. Enter your postcode and house number in the comparison to see the plans that can be delivered to your address. It is worth doing this as soon as you know where you will be living. That way you can choose from the options that genuinely apply to you rather than the full national list.

How plans are checked and sorted

Prices are checked on the providers' own websites every day, so the figures reflect what each provider currently advertises. You can sort the comparison by download speed, introductory price or average monthly price, depending on what matters most to you. No plan is presented as the overall winner. The order simply follows the sort option you pick.

The Check offer button is an advertisement. If you sign up through it, this site can earn a commission. That commission does not change the euro price you pay or the order in which plans appear.
